Black Lives Matter -But that's not enough

We are a tiny shop. We make jewelry and meditation products to allow people the opportunity to unlock the power within themselves to live their best lives. We also provide Reiki services to help reduce stress, anxiety, and tension and create space for healing. We value everyone and believe in the inherent worth of people. Here's the thing. People of color and those within marginalized communities have suffered in an unequal and inequitable system since the foundation of the United States. While strides have been made, there is still so much to do. It's not enough to say "Black Lives Matter." It's not enough. Black lives should be valued, cherished, and protected. This is not so say that all lives don't matter. They do and that's exactly the point. All lives do matter - including Black lives. And those are the lives that are being taken at astronomical rates right now. We originally didn't want to post anything because this isn't a marketing opportunity or a some type of bandwagon. This is real. These victims are real and the pain of their loss is very real to so many. But we didn't want to stay silent and we didn't want to ignore the very real movement for change that is going on right now. We support the call for a radical change in policing in the United States and stand with the peaceful protesters calling for it.
